Events Coordinator (All Divisions)

Title: Events Coordinator - Part Time - Temp  
Location: Upper East Side  
Org Unit: Population Health Sciences 
Work Days: Monday-Friday 
Exemption Status: Non-exempt

Position Summary

Provides logistical and administrative support in the planning and executing of events.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manages the events calendar.
  • Tracks event attendance, registrations and event responses.
  • Provides logistical support including room setup, audio visual requirements and catering.
  • Maintains records of vendor related items and troubleshoots vendor issues.
  • Tracks and submits event expenses and ensures prompt payment.
  • Drafts and prepares event invitations and materials.
  • Provides on-site event management and support at day and evening events.
  • Maintains inventory of supplies, equipment and/or reagents. May order supplies/equipment/reagents as authorized or ensure that needs are escalated appropriately. Receives supply orders and confirms accuracy of delivery. May assist with cost control.


  • High School Diploma


  • Approximately 2 years of related event management experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Experience with meeting planning administration and integrated AV system operations.

    Working Conditions/Physical Demands

    Ability to work overtime and evening hours as events necessitate.
