Dr. Yiye Zhang, associate professor of population health sciences and population health sciences in emergency medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine, has been named the editor-in-chief of npj Health Systems, an open-access, peer-reviewed Nature Portfolio journal.
This newly launched publication will cover all aspects of health systems research, focusing on high-quality, interdisciplinary analyses of health care financing, delivery models, policy interventions, and their impacts on population health, equity, and outcomes. Key topics of interest include health policy and practice, implementation science, global health systems, quality improvement and patient safety, health IT, education and training, ethics and equity, and financing and health care models.
Trained in information systems management, Dr. Zhang specializes in the development, evaluation, and implementation of clinical decision support systems. In her new role as editor-in-chief, she will lead the npj Health System’s publishing strategy and vision, fostering a platform for innovative and thought-provoking research that can impact the future of health systems worldwide.
