Tenure-Track Faculty Positions – Division of Health Policy and Economics

The Division of Health Policy and Economics within the Department of Population Health Sciences at Weill Cornell Medicine in New York City seeks full-time tenure-track faculty at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor.

Faculty in the Division of Health Policy and Economics study the U.S. healthcare system with the goal of making discoveries and recommendations for improvement. We study the effects of public and private policies on provider organizations and the value of care delivered. We focus on incentives, unintended consequences, and the impact of policies and organizational processes on healthcare access, quality, cost, and population health outcomes. Our current areas of investigation are broad and include alternative payment models; consolidation of provider organizations; telehealth; policy issues in Medicare Advantage; Medicaid and safety net policy; long-term and post-acute care; pharmaceutical policy; and mental health and substance use policy, among others. The division is interested in adding faculty who work in these or new areas, including but not limited to maternal and child health policy and disability policy. Candidates with research interests in these and other areas are encouraged to apply. We welcome applicants with varied methodological expertise, including econometrics, health policy statistics, legal research, mixed-methods and qualitative research, and others.

Candidates should have a PhD or MD with additional graduate training (e.g., M.P.H, MS, or fellowship). The successful applicant will be expected to conduct independent and collaborative research, obtain and sustain extramural funding, maintain a strong publication record, and contribute to the Division’s educational programs. Candidates at the associate professor level should have a strong record of independent funding and enthusiasm for mentoring junior faculty.
