The Department of Population Health Sciences is the flagship population health research department of Weill Cornell Medicine (WCM) and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. The Epidemiology division seeks full-time tenure-track positions at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor. We are seeking outstanding individuals engaged in research related, but not limited, to epidemiologic methods, nutritional epidemiology, chronic disease epidemiology, women’s health, environmental/geospatial epidemiology, social/behavioral epidemiology, and genetic/molecular epidemiology.
The Department of Population Health Sciences is home to six Divisions. The Department is multi-disciplinary with substantial research strengths across a variety of areas including health policy and economics, health data science and data analytics, health informatics, comparative effectiveness & outcomes research, healthcare delivery science, epidemiology and biostatistics. The division of Epidemiology envisions housing a multidisciplinary group of PhD and/or MD population science investigators dedicated to careers in building scientific evidence and cultivating a next-generation workforce conducting epidemiologic research.
Faculty in this Division leverage multiple opportunities for collaboration with clinical researchers at WCM, as well as partner institutions NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, the Hospital for Special Surgery, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, and Cornell Tech, which is Cornell’s NYC-based engineering campus. Additional resources include the Englander Institute for Precision Medicine, the Cornell Center for Health Equity, Sandra and Edward Meyer Cancer Center and NewYork-Presbyterian, the premier healthcare system in New York City including NewYork -Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, and NewYork-Presbyterian Queens.
Candidates should have a Ph.D. or an MD with additional graduate training (e.g. M.P.H., MS, or fellowship).The applicant will have a record of significant research accomplishments, including developing and sustaining extramural funding for those at the Associate or full Professor level, and will demonstrate a strong ability to mentor students, post-doctoral researchers, and junior faculty. The successful candidate will also have experience in curriculum development, teaching, and scholarship activities in epidemiology.

Assistant Professor: $147,800 - $172,638
Associate Professor: $196,040 - $235,364
Professor: $287,157 - $403,283
