Ways to Engage with the MS Students

Interested in engaging with a Population Health Science student? There are several ways you can build a recruitment pipeline for open and future positions. Below is a list of ways you can get to know our students:

Attend a Networking or Career Event

There are several events each semester where you can engage with Population Health Sciences students. For information on upcoming events, please reach out to the Career Services Manager, Allison Pirpich at alp4009@med.cornell.edu.

Become a Capstone Partner

All Population Health Sciences students are required to complete a Capstone project as part of their MS degree. This is a great opportunity for students to practice their learned skill sets in a professional setting and prepare to work in a rapidly changing healthcare sector. The capstone project promotes student development in context awareness, integrative management, and industry skills. Projects can be domain-specific or interdisciplinary in scope. If you have a project that you would like to partner with PHS students, you can learn more about capstone project requirements and submit a proposal on the Become a Capstone Partner webpage.

Host an Information Session

Information Sessions are a great way to advertise the work being done at your company, build a future talent pipeline, and recruit students and alumni for current openings. Information Sessions are usually 1 hour long and are currently hosted virtually.

Post a Position

If you have a current job or internship posting that would be a good fit for Population Health Sciences students, please share that information with us! We send this information out directly to students and alumni in a bi-weekly career newsletter and student email listserv.

For questions on these engagement opportunities or more information, please contact the Career Services Manager, Allison Pirpich, at alp4009@med.cornell.edu.
