Primary Faculty Expectations

Teaching 

Serving as a course director or program co-director; supervising fellowship or residency program. Faculty are encouraged to supervise capstone/portfolio projects and medical students/summer students. 
Note: Clinically active faculty may be excused 

Mentoring

Mentoring WCM junior faculty and trainees; participating in departmental mentorship committees. 

Participation

Attending departmental grand rounds, research seminars, and faculty meetings; participation in department committees (e.g., education, recruitment) or department leadership role (e.g., data core). Faculty are encouraged to serve on institutional committees (e.g. General Faculty Council, IRB).

Assisting in recruiting, identifying funding opportunities, representing and promoting the department within WCM/NYP and Cornell communities, promoting the department in professional and policy communities.
