Dr. Joseph Fins: 2016-17 Fellow Ambassador of the New York Academy of Medicine

Dr. Joseph Fins was selected a 2016-17 fellow ambassador of the New York Academy of Medicine. Dr. Fins is also chief of the Division of Bioethics; the E. William Davis, Jr., MD Professor of Medical Ethics and a professor of medicine, medicine in psychiatry, healthcare policy and research and medical ethics in neurology. As a fellow ambassador, Dr. Fins will work with academy staff and leadership as an expert spokesperson on a variety of health-related topics. He was selected based on his interest and ability as a spokesperson in his field of expertise, specifically bioethical issues in neuroscience. The fellow ambassador program was established in 2015 to increase direct engagement of fellows with the research and policy staff of the academy, and to provide the public with access to a wealth of healthcare information.
