Two powerhouses in graduate education—the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management and the Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences—have partnered to create a dual-degree program that focuses on building general management skills and developing a deeper understanding of the healthcare industry. About the Program

Program Format

Executive MBA/MS program classes take place on alternating weekends at the Tata Innovation Center at the Cornell Tech Campus on Roosevelt Island in New York City over the course of 22 months (with breaks). Classes are offered in a Saturday/half-Sunday schedule.

Each semester begins with a one-week residential session designed for immersive, experiential learning. Fall residential sessions are held on Cornell University’s main campus in Ithaca, New York each July and Spring residential sessions are held in the NYC metropolitan area each January.

The Executive MBA/MS program is delivered by faculty from both the SC Johnson College of Business and the Weill Cornell Graduate School, including a mix of clinicians and non-clinicians that are leaders in their field.

Admissions Requirements

The Executive MBA/MS program at Cornell University awards two degrees in 22 months: an MBA from the SC Johnson College of Business and an MS in Healthcare Leadership from the Department of Population Health Sciences at the Weill Cornell Graduate School to provide a business breadth with a healthcare depth.

Tuition and Financial Aid

Financing your Executive MBA/MS in Healthcare Leadership degree

Executive MBA/MS in Healthcare Leadership students often receive employer sponsorship or merit-based scholarships. Remaining tuition costs can be funded with federal or private loans.

Merit-based scholarships

Applicants will be considered for partial scholarships by the scholarship committee based on the strength of their application. There is no supplemental information required for scholarship consideration. Scholarship awards will be communicated in conjunction with offers of admission.

Private loans

You can also apply for private loans to finance your Executive MBA/MS degree. We have no recommendations for any particular lenders, but urge you to apply your good business sense. Once you have been selected and approved from your lender, you must submit a private loan request form to our financial aid office.

Yellow Ribbon Program for U.S. veterans

The Executive MBA/MS in Healthcare Leadership program participates in the Post-9/11 GI Bill® Yellow Ribbon Program. This program is available to veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces who are eligible for the maximum benefit under the Post-9/11 GI Bill®. While funding per participant is not capped, participation may be limited annually based on institutional policy.
