  • ROMA (2018-2027, CIHR): A multinational RCT Comparison of the Clinical Outcome of Single vs. Multiple Arterial Grafts with >4,000 patients being recruited from >50 sites in six continents.
  • ROMA:Women (CIHR): A multinational RCT Comparison of the Clinical Outcome of Single vs. Multiple Arterial Grafts with 2,000 women.
  • ODIN (2030, CIHR):  A multinational RCT Comparison of one-month dual antiplatelet therapy plus aspirin versus aspirin alone after coronary artery bypass grafting with 700 patients.
  • SMARTFLOW (Industry-funded). A multinational RCT Comparison of transit time flow measurement versus standard of care in Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (1,242 patients).
  • STICH-3C (CIHR funded). A multinational RCT comparing Coronary Arterial Bypass Grafting to Percutaneous Coronary Intervention in patients with heart failure (754 patients).
  • PALACS (philanthropic funding, PI: Gaudino). Single-center comparison of Posterior Pericardiotomy versus standard of care in patients undergoing Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (420 patients).
  • BEAT-AF (serves as DCC, starting in China for enrollment): A single-center RCT Comparison of amiodarone patches versus standard of care in Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (500 patients).
  • SWITCH Swedeheart (funded by Sweden) A registry-based, stepped-wedge, cluster-randomized, open-label, multicenter trial comparing prasugrel and ticagrelor for the treatment of patients with acute coronary syndrome (~14,000 patients).
  • STICH-Swedeheart (Sweden scientific research council, Redcap currently in sweden,  Sister study to STICH-3C): A multinational RCT comparing Coronary Arterial Bypass Grafting to Percutaneous Coronary Intervention in patients with heart failure (470 patients).

  • Paired Vagus Nerve Stimulation (VNS) in Chronic Stroke (NIA funded): A randomized, blinded, sham-controlled mechanistic trial.
  • DEPRESCRIBE-HFpEF (NIA-funded): Determining Evidence in a Placebo-Controlled, Randomized Experiment Studying Continuation vs. Removal of Inessential Beta-Blockers in Elders with Heart Failure with Preserved Ejection Fraction (HFpEF).

  • Target Trial Emulation NIH-RECOVER-EHR (1 OT2 HL161847-01): Target trial emulation for validation of existing or generating new treatment hypotheses that could be protective of long COVID.
  • Target Trial Emulation for Drug Repurposing Hypotheses Generation for Alzheimer’s Disease (1 R01 AG080991-01 and 1 R01 AG076234-01): Target trial emulation for drug repurposing hypothesis generation from large scale EHR data.
  • Voice Signal analysis NIH Bridge-to-AI Voice as a Biomarker Project (1 OT2 OD032720-01): Analyzing acoustic signals for identification of patients with swallowing problems.
  • Heart Failure Prediction with Multi-Modal Data (NYP Cardiology AI Initiative CT 232441-01): Predicting the cardiopulmonary exercise testing (CPET) results with echocardiogram; Opportunistic screening for LVEF abnormalities with chest CT.
  • Patient Similarity Analytics for All-of-Us Data (1 R21 LM014454-01): Identification of similar patients in AoU and obtain aggregated practice-based evidence from the EHR data in AoU cohort.
  • AHA Stroke Subtype Classification (AHA 230945-01): Identification of stroke subtypes from clinical and genetic data.
  • HSS Arthritis Subtype Identification (HSS Service Contract HSS 233101-01): Identification of subtypes of osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis with multi-modal data including clinical data, patient reported outcomes, pathology slides and genomics.
