Dr. Thomas R. Campion, Jr.: Homer R. Warner Award

Dr. Thomas R. Campion, Jr., assistant professor of public health, was awarded the Homer R. Warner Award for his paper, "Patient Encounters and Care Transitions in One Community Supported by Automated Query-Based Health Information Exchange" at the American Medical Informatics Association's 2013 annual symposium in Washington, D.C. Co-authors include Department of Healthcare Policy and Research and Center for Healthcare Informatics and Policy colleagues Drs. Joshua R. Vest, assistant professor of public health, Jessica S. Ancker, assistant professor of public health in pediatrics, and Rainu Kaushal, chair of the Department of Healthcare Policy and Research, the Frances and John L. Loeb Professor of Medical Informatics, professor of medicine, professor of public health and professor of pediatrics. The award is given to the authors of a paper chosen at the symposium that best describes approaches to improving computerized information acquisition, knowledge data acquisition and management and experimental results documenting the value of these approaches.
